British initiative to manufacture elegant and environmentally friendly masks

The British Fashion Council has announced its initiative to manufacture and sell sustainable and reusable masks that protect against the spread of the Corona virus. In this context, he collaborated with a group of 6 prominent British fashion houses: Halpern, Julian Macdonald, Liam Hodges, Mulberry, Raeburn and Rixo.

This cooperation also resulted in a set of protective masks attached to environmentally friendly packaging, which can be used several times to reduce waste and reduce the spread of the epidemic in Britain and the world, especially as it is internationally rechargeable.
These stylish masks come in groups of three bearing the signature of Julian Macdonald, Rixo, Liam Hodges or Mulberry, Raeburn, and Halper.

The aim is not only to secure protection from the spread of the virus in a sustainable manner, but also to collect a million pounds sterling, the proceeds of which are earmarked for humanitarian work, specifically for charitable organizations working in the field of childhood care, including: the Foundation of the British Fashion Council, and the Wings of Hope organization that deals with children.

British Fashion Council Executive Director Caroline Rush stated: “Fashion recently turned into a unified global power, and today more than ever we have to work together to support each other during these difficult times,” stressing that “our goal is to contribute to the battle against Covid-19 while maintaining vital personal protective equipment for medical staff. Through this project we not only celebrate the creativity of British designers, but we also work to defend sustainability in times of crisis. "

This project was announced after the British government circulated guidelines recommending wearing masks indoors when social separation is not possible. These non-medical masks are also sold in packs of three, are washable and included with two small bags for safekeeping, for £ 15.
