Details of the majestic eclipse ... These are sites to watch

After the annular eclipse that occurred on December 26, 2019 and was seen in eastern Saudi Arabia, the geographer at the Qaseem University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Misnad, indicated that another annular solar eclipse will be seen in the far south of the Kingdom.

It will be seen in Yemen and Oman, and in the African continent in five countries (Congo, Central Africa, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea) and in Asia in 4 countries (Pakistan, India, China, and Taiwan) and then end in the Pacific, on Sunday, corresponding to 21 June 2020 AD, where the Moon’s body will block the sun’s disk by 99%, in the path of the annular eclipse line that will pass over the southernmost part of Saudi Arabia, and the remaining 1% of the sun will appear in the form of a flamboyant flare ring encircling the right black moon, and this is the third type of eclipse The ring is the most impressive and intimidating.

It should be noted that the next annular eclipse will coincide with an annual astronomical phenomenon, which is the complete sun perpendicular over the orbit of the cancer, marking the beginning of the summer in the northern hemisphere, and the orbit of the cancer passes almost over central Saudi Arabia.

-When does an annular eclipse happen?

Al-Musnad confirmed: "The annular eclipse occurs when the diameter of the moon in the visible dome is smaller than the diameter of the sun, and this occurs when the moon is far from the Earth (at the apogee point, because its orbit is elliptical), or when the Earth is close to the sun, and in In this case, the moon’s shadow cone does not touch the surface of the earth; The black moon disk is slightly smaller than the inflamed sun disk a little, and because of these delicate geometric dimensions, the annular eclipse will form. "
"He notes that the annular eclipse will only be seen in a very narrow spatial band, which passes from central Africa through southern Arabia, then penetrates 4 Asian countries, and its width when it passes in the empty quarter is estimated at only 40 km, and the annular eclipse period in the sky of Saudi Arabia will not exceed Only about 59 seconds. As for the partial eclipse at the level of the Saudi sky, it will be no less than 133 minutes in the northwest, and about 179 minutes in the southeast. This partial eclipse will be seen in all Arab countries, most of Africa and Asia, southern Europe and northern Australia.

-The beginning and end of the annular eclipse:

The first site where a partial eclipse begins at 6:46 a.m. (seen in Africa),
The first site where the annular eclipse begins: 07:47 (seen in Africa),
Peak of the Eclipse: 09:40 a.m. (Watching North India), the last location where the annular eclipse ends 11:32 (in the Western Pacific),
The last location at which the partial eclipse ends 12:34 (in the Western Pacific and Northern Australia), it should be noted that the movement of the moon's shadow on Earth is from the west to the east; Because of the moon’s orbit around the Earth, the eclipse will start from Africa and end in the western Pacific Ocean.

Al-Misnad also explained that the annular eclipse will be seen over an area of 590 km over the deserts of the Empty Quarter in southern Saudi Arabia, and this includes the Kharkhir Governorate and the Arda Center south of the Empty Quarter, and in the Kharkhir Governorate it will see a 99% annular eclipse, where the partial eclipse will start at 07:02, Its end is 09:53, and in the middle will be the annular eclipse, which will last only about 33 seconds, and the length of the partial eclipse is two hours and 50 minutes, and Al-Khakhir is the only province in Saudi Arabia that the center of the moon’s shadow will pass from above, and Sana'a is the only capital in the world that will pass the center of the moon’s shadow. Above it.

Because the Moon's body is moving very slowly from west to east, the eclipse will start from the upper right part of the sun disk, and it will form in the form of a large crescent, especially in the far south of Saudi Arabia. For Saudi Arabia in a chilling scene, then after the eclipse is bisected, an inverted crescent begins to form and we read it downwards, and it grows little by little until the eclipse becomes clear.
