This is the secret of the women with the longest hair in the world

Chinese Yao women hold the title of longest hair in the world, with an average hair length of two meters, and among them we find the longest hair in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records. Known as Xie Quping, this lady has a hair length of 5.5 meters. But what do these women do to promote hair growth and banish gray hair from it beyond the age of seventy?

These women live in the Chinese village of Huanglu, and are known for their strong and long hair that is only cut once in a life. And that is when they reach the age of 18 during a ceremony announcing that they have become adults and ready to marry. These women never use chemical preparations and electrical appliances on their hair. They are satisfied with washing it with fermented rice boiled water, in accordance with a tradition that is passed down from generation to generation.

Benefits of rice water

Rice boiled water is rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamin E. They are very beneficial for hair and are rich in rejuvenating and soothing properties that keep hair supple and smooth out frizz. The starch present in the rice water contributes to strengthening the hair fibers and making them shine.

To prepare the rice water, they will need half a cup of any kind of rice and two or three cups of water.

 The quick recipe

It is sufficient to rinse the rice with a little water to rid it of dust and impurities, then soak it in water for half an hour, provided that the soaked rice is rubbed by hand, allowing the vitamins and minerals to transfer from the rice to the water. The rice can then be filtered from the water, which is ready to be used as a hair rinse, which has a strengthening and nourishing effect.

The fermented recipe

To ferment rice water, it can be placed in a closed container that is left at room temperature for a period of 24 to 48 hours. Rice can also be left in the water during the fermentation stage, which in this case takes between 12 and 14 hours and filtered after that.
It is possible to add a teaspoon of aloe vera juice to this water due to its moisturizing and smoothing effect on the hair, and 5 drops of lavender oil can be added, which restores balance to the scalp. Rice water can also be perfumed with cinnamon or macadamia essential oil.

It is recommended to store rice water in the refrigerator, to apply it to wet hair for 5 minutes before rinsing it with water. Use rice water to rinse your hair once or twice a week.

Practical advice
