KFConsole:Here is the only console that allows you to play while keeping your chicken warm

To surf the buzz around the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox (Series X), KFC presented the KFConsole, a console that allows you to play and keep your tenders warm. If the idea is enticing, it is likely that it will never see the light of day.

April fool late or a real unusual project? Now that the PlayStation 5 has officially been released, the next chapter in the console war is hot. The American fast-food chain, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), seems to have taken this observation to the letter. This weekend, on Twitter (below), she hastened to present her own video game console, the KFConsole. In the form of its famous chicken bucket, the console would be able to play video games in “true 4K” resolution and 120 frames per second. In addition, it would be “cross-platform compatible”. KFC even reveals a release date: November 12, 2020, two weeks before Thanksgiving. Even better, this KFConsole would have a built-in mini-oven to keep your breaded and grilled chicken pieces warm during your play session.

If the idea is as incongruous as it is enticing, don't necessarily take it for cash. As SlashGear suspects, it is very (very) likely that this console-oven will never see the light of day. It is indeed very possible that KFC simply wanted to surf the buzz around the PS5 and took the opportunity to laugh about it. However, this is not the first time that fast food has designed and implemented such unusual technological devices. In 2016, KFC launched a menu accompanied by a 6000 mAh battery to charge any smartphone. Two years later, it had offered boxes capable of transforming into a drone named KFO, only available for a limited time in India. Finally, it should be noted that KFC is no stranger to the world of video games. Through its KFC Gaming label, the fast food chain has sponsored several e-sports teams and events since 2018.
