10 steps to make the mask durable in hot weather

1- Choose it in light colors:

4- Correctly apply the mask:

The ability to withstand the mask in hot weather conditions is closely related to its proper application. Therefore, it is advisable to first choose the one that fits the shape and size of the face, to cover the nose in a comfortable manner and to be hung behind the ears or tied behind the head. Be aware that the mask that covers only the mouth does not provide the required protection from the Corona virus.

5- Replacing the mask when it becomes wet:

The mask loses its effectiveness when it becomes wet due to its prolonged application or as a result of being wet with water. In this case, it is preferable to remove it and replace it with a clean, dry mask.

6- Moisturizing the skin before applying the mask:

Wearing the mask for an extended period of time can cause irritating blisters on the skin, so it is advisable to moisturize the skin well with face cream or aloe vera gel, as it has a refreshing and moisturizing effect before applying the mask. This would provide relief for the skin, and reduce the possibility of irritation and pimples on it.

7- Take a break:

The discomfort caused by wearing the mask increases in hot times if it continues for long periods. Therefore, it is advised to remove it from time to time while respecting all rules of hygiene and protection in the meantime.

8- Looking for recovery:

Moisturizing the forehead and neck continuously helps to hold the mask off during hot times. For example, a wet towel can be passed over these areas to feel refreshed, or wash the tops of arms in cold water for the same refreshment.

9- Drinking water regularly:

Ensuring the sufficiency of the body from water is vital in hot times and becomes more necessary when wearing a mask. Make sure to drink at least 10 cups of water per day to maintain hydration of the body in general and the skin in particular.

10- Do not observe wearing the mask unless it is mandatory:

Just put on the mask when it is only mandatory and avoid as much as possible the hot and crowded places, to remove it whenever the situation permits, especially when you are alone in the car or in the workplace.
